Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America
The Alberta Texas Longhorn Association was formed in 1982 as an affiliate of the Texas  Longhorn  Breeders  Association  of  America, headquartered  out  of  Fort
Worth, Texas, and has been an association in Alberta ever since.
The association had a busy year in 2004. Members attended a cattle show in Red Deer during July, and attended another show in Olds during August. The association also held its' annual field day in Olds during August.
A Breeder's Map was created  in  2004  instead
of a directory as in past years, and was distributed in October. The map shows the location of association members and contains valuable information about the Texas Longhorn. Association President Ron Walker said that the ATLA had 35 members in 2004,  and he expects that number to increase in 2005.  He's received quite a bit
of interest in the association in recent months because of the quality of the Texas Longhorn.
